SFMOMA Art MicroHubs Conversation on December 11th

    cavetocanvas:

I’m very excited to announce that the lovely folks at SFMOMA asked me along with four other contributors to take place in a google+ hangout talking about smaller-scale art spaces:

How are smaller-scale art spaces crucial in both high-culture cities and towns with fewer cultural resources? How do the places where we look at, create, and talk about art come into being, and what makes them thrive? Join us for a live Google+ Hangout as we dive into a discussion with five contributors to Art MicroHubs, a crowd-sourced Tumblr project inspired by Six Lines of Flight: Shifting Geographies in Contemporary Art.

This event will be broadcast live on Tuesday, December 11th at 12 noon Pacific / 3pm Eastern. You can watch the live conversation through SFMOMA’s website, and it will be archived and available to view after the live session has ended.

I’m incredibly honored to be asked to take part in this discussion, and I’m excited to be the only online-based participant. If you’ve ever wanted to hear me speak about CtC in a real-time setting, this is your chance!  I’ll be posting another announcement with a link to the event about 20 minutes before it starts; hopefully some of you can take some time to watch and join the conversation.

YES! Join me, Suzanne Stein (SFMOMA’s Head of Community Engagement), and a selection of the amazing participants from our Art MicroHubs project (including Alie from Cave to Canvas) for a live discussion next Tuesday at 12pm! Find more info + RSVP here.
